Day 26 - Polish

Noo, our last week at Lumaa started :(

Our teacher this week is Thomas Grummt.
"You'll never gonna have enough time to polish your work enough."

What is Polish
- High level of quality
- Clean, smooth movement without pops, kinks or technical problems
- Design and appeal - push your poses

Dailies
- Think about poses first.
- Stepped workflow is not the worst
- Give storytelling poses time to read for example: Look at something, pause, reacting to it, pause, next thing

Simple "Howto" according to Thomas:
- Create your storytelloing poses for the audience
- Think about the motion in between poses
- Strong Silhouettes are important
- Keep Blocking simple. Keep Keys at the same frames until you are satisfied with the performance
- Use FK Arms if you can (more natural)
- What't the least amount of poses you can get away with?
- You can always add poses later


We used the whole Day for Dailies

So we stayed longer...
For Dinner I had Tiramisu and Taboule with Simon and Sam
My evening program was at the Kino Rex.. we watched a first screening "Out of Home" Animations
