This Week we enjoy with Aron Hatfield from Pixar who is teaching us how to battle Lipsync.
First he showed us a little history in Facial Animation (Pixar movies).
On the Incredibles they used Model Sheets in 3D for the first time to stay on model. (Thank you Brad Bird! :)
Steps for Lip Sync / Mouth
1. Jaw up/down (you can feel this by holding a hand under your chin)
2. Sides in/out (feel it with fingers on the mouth edges)
3. Sneers
4. Sides up/down (happy/sad)
5. Pulls, Curls (side view)
6. Entire Mouth up/down
7. Everything else (tongue, jaw jut(=forward/backward), cheeks...
Assignment:
Choose an audio file of the provided files. Then do the Lipsync.
I chose "don't die on me bob." A short and simple line.
1. Jaw up/down
2. Sides in/out
