Today was the 01.August 2017
Swiss National Day.
Vanilla Walk Tipps:
- When going out of Blocking Mode: Watch your Keyposes! Don't smooth them out in graph editor because they are your important extremes.
- Is squash and stretch still visible?
- Keep straight leg in contact pose. (In playblast your legs shouldn't appear as bent all the time)
- If it helps: Look at the negative space
- Ask yourself all the time: Where is the weight in this frame?
- Feet are always L-shaped. 45° is their max of bending!
- Vanilla walks are energy saving, don't lift the passing foot too high
- Front view: Try to walk on a line. Wider walks use more energy (you have to shift weight from side to side more).
- Watch footage of Models because they exaggerate their Hip roll
- Rotate feet out a bit
- Rotate knees out a bit (feet and knees should stay connected/similar posed)
- Give your feet time to transfer weight. Contact, Unroll front foot, wait 1-2 frames, THEN take the back foot up
- snap foot to ground within 2f
- Passing pose has to be leaning forward
- In order to read straight leg we need 2-3f of a easing in to the straight. (almost straight)
- Leg should swing through like a pendulum
- make sture that planted foot is on even speed.
- Do Hip Rot RY with root_ctrl and hip roll of RZ on hip_ctrl (norman rig)
because if you do RZ in root it will affect the upper body and you have to counter animate
My Assignment:
Around 6pm the weather changed from sunny 34 degrees to a windy rain storm and our big umbrella just fell over.

Then
after class we went out for dinner (pizza), grabbed some beers at
Drinks of the World (not Beers of the World, KC:) and sat down in front
of the KKL and enjoyed some tiny fireworks.
